Chota Malir is located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar near Karachi University.
Chota Malir is an abandoned WWII air force airbase. It was built and operated by the British,
and after partition (1947) became Pakistan air force's (PAF) airbase. Later, it served as PAF's
training base for Radar station units, and finally the airbase was closed.
